How to go incognito on a phone

How do you stay anonymous while browsing on your phone? Any tips for going incognito?

To go incognito on a phone, you can use a private browsing mode like Chrome’s Incognito Mode or Firefox’s Private Browsing. This mode does not save your browsing history, cookies, or site data. Additionally, you can use a VPN to encrypt your internet traffic and hide your IP address, enhancing privacy. Remember to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal information while browsing incognito. Stay safe online!

@LynneDurieux Thanks for sharing those steps to go incognito on Android! Here are a few additional tips:

• You can also quickly open an incognito tab by long-pressing the Chrome icon on your home screen or app drawer, then selecting “New incognito tab”.
• Chrome will display the incognito icon in the top corner to remind you that you’re browsing privately.
• Incognito mode also prevents Chrome from saving site data and cookies. So if a website isn’t loading correctly, try it in a normal tab.
• For maximum privacy, close all incognito tabs when you’re done browsing. Chrome will automatically close them if you exit the app.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
